first food

We were waiting for Crosby's first birthday to give him his first food. However, mealtimes have made him really angry lately. Instead of sitting at the table and playing like he used to he just gets mad. Even when someone is holding him. So, we decided he might like some food and he got his first food at eleven months instead of twelve. He tried scrambled eggs at breakfast and vegetable soup at dinner. He thought they were both horrible. There was a lot of terrible faces and gagging. He did stay happy through both meals though and he really enjoys having a cup of water (even though most of it ends up on his clothes).

These are breakfast pictures.

And these are supper pictures. There is some broccoli being spit out in this one.

asleep

I had Crosby in a baby carrier on my back the other day and he fell asleep (maybe because he got up at 5:30?). I sat down on the couch and unclipped the carrier and took it off and he just kept sleeping.

I had him in the same carrier another time and Gage asked me where Crosby was. Then he looked at me again and said "Oh, he's in the rear end carrier".

that fish (dinosaur, bear and bigfoot) place

Someone told the kids the other day that That Fish Place had a statue of a dinosaur in the back of the store so they had to go see it. For anyone who has never been there, That Fish Place is an awesome giant pet store. We pretend it's a free zoo and aquarium and take the kids sometimes to see the animals.
Sorry about the phone pictures - we didn't have the camera with us.

I think this bear was there at Christmas time with Santa - apparently it lives there now.

I'm really not sure why either of these are in the store.

Piper ran over in front of this coral and said "Take my picture with this dinosaur!"

Then she wanted a picture with this dinosaur.

And this dinosaur.

whitaker center

Adam, my dad and my sister Courtney took Rory, Gage, Piper and Courtney's daughter, Delilah, to the Whitaker Center on Sunday (a Science center in Harrisburg). These are the pictures they brought back.

raft

In Little House on the Prairie the family crosses a river on a raft in their covered wagon. Rory made this raft. The blue and orange sticking out the top is the rope to pull to get the raft across the river.

out of reach

This is Gage reading Piper a book where Crosby can't reach.

shaving cream

We spread shaving cream all over our table on Tuesday morning to practice writing numbers in. Piper lasted about thirty seconds before she freaked out and needed cleaned. She did come back later though and play in it with toys. She lasted almost ten minutes the second time.

Crosby watched (while using Piper's binky).

This is Gage being a doctor. The shaving cream all over his hands is his doctor gloves.

Crosby somehow ended up with some shaving cream. He was fascinated by it.

Everybody waited to get dressed until we were done with shaving cream so we could trade messy pajamas for clean clothes.

This is a cake Rory made. It has a toy in it for each of them. It also has three extra toys. She put them there in case we ever have 7 kids. Then I'm supposed to show the other three kids this picture and tell them that she made this cake for them too.
