We had a picnic in the park with Grandma a couple weeks ago. Here are some pictures.

Gage really liked this snowplow train.

These are pictures of the large train room from a bridge overhead. There is a picture to the left and one to the right but you can't see all the trains in either one.

On the way out of the museum Gage fell on the sidewalk and hurt his elbow. He got up holding it strangely and it had a weird red streak inside of his elbow where he hadn't hit it and it looked swollen. It hurt to straighten or bend it so we took him for x-rays. It turned out to be nothing more than a possible sprain and didn't really bother him by the next day. But he was awfully proud of the bandage.

These are pictures from our trip to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. 

There are three big rooms full of train toys, books and puzzles that the kids really liked.

There is also a huge room full of  real train cars (and a big toy train display running and a gallery upstairs with information and art about dining cars as well as a lot of trains outside that we never got to).

no movies

Regal Cinemas has a summer movie program. Every Tuesday and Wednesday they play a children's movie from a few years ago at 10am and admission is $1. We tried to take the kids to the theater in Lancaster a few weeks ago and after we got there found out that the theater in being renovated so they aren't participating this year (even though the website says they are). So, two weeks later we went to the theater in the mall in Harrisburg and the metal gate was down over the front of the theater and never opened (even though the website also says that they are participating and we have gone to that theater in other years for the summer movies). So, we played at the mall instead.

Crosby was standing by Adam and I was getting ready to take a picture of him when he decided to start walking so I accidentally got his first steps on camera. (This was about 2 weeks ago. He's taking lots of steps now. He can walk across whole rooms).

Piper found a purple butterfly and then just sat on it for at least ten minutes just because it was purple.
