The kids wove rugs for their toys this morning and wanted everyone to see them.

left out

Crosby felt left out of the last post. So, here are some pictures of him.

I'm not entirely sure what this face is all about.

children's festival

Yesterday the kids and I went to the International Children's Festival at Ten Thousand Villages. They had all kinds of activities, crafts, games and food from around the world. The kids made sheep puppets, African drums, treasure boxes with their names written in Arabic and wall hangings. They drew water from a well and ate kulfi which is Bangladeshi ice cream and watched African drummers and dancers. Piper made one project and then cried about the rest of them. She did, however, do quite a dance to the drumming in the hallway.

Here is everyone trying out the wells.

And Rory carrying water. Gage also tried carrying water. He had to hold the stick halfway up the back of his head, and the buckets still dragged on the ground.

Painting t-shirts.

Modeling t-shirts. Gage's eyes are shut in every picture I took. (Make sure you take note of the dandelion in Gage's hand. He insisted it had to be in the picture and checked afterward to make sure it was.)

memorial day

Here are some pictures from our Memorial Day picnic at my parents' house. (Apparently no one over the age of 2 made it into any pictures.)

Piper with a mouthful of apple.

Piper enjoying an ice cream sandwich.
