treadmill

My parents just got a treadmill that Rory, Gage and Piper all think is great fun. Piper can just barely reach the handles on it.

i wish you a merry christmas

fa-rost

This is Rory's dance outfit that she wears to her (imaginary) dance class where her (imaginary) dance teacher teaches her fa-rost dance. When I asked her what fa-rost dance was, she told me that it's beyond frost.

candy lane 2

Flying helicopters. The kids really like these because you can make them go up and down. Gage was rather upset to find out he had to ride alone until he realized that he got to control it himself.

Swings! Piper was very excited about these. She loves swinging.

On the monorail.

Sleeping Crosby.

Trying to sleep Piper. She really wanted to go to sleep but people kept waking her up.

This is the claw. (Sorry, it isn't actually my picture - I can't make it any bigger.) There are 8 sets of 4 seats on it and it spins an swings back and fourth until it is almost upside down. Rory has been waiting very impatiently to ride it for the last year. She talks about it all the time. She wasn't tall enough last Christmas and she was just barely too short this summer. She is finally tall enough and (after we waited in line forever) she finally got to ride it. She loved it and is making plans to ride it again. She is really impressed by the fact the the floor drops before the ride starts.

candy lane

Every year between Thanksgiving and New Year's, Hershey Park opens up part of the park and puts up Christmas lights and calls it Candy Lane. We went on Saturday. This is the third or fourth year in a row that we've managed to go on a day when the temperature was in the 50s. It was also much more crowded this year than ever before and we didn't get to ride as much as usual. The kids still had fun though.

Crosby waiting with Adam while the rest of us were on a ride.

Riding dinosaurs. (You can see Piper's head and hands sticking out behind Rory.)

At some point between the first and second rides on the dinosaurs, Rory became too mature for them. Only Gage and Piper got back on.

Waiting in line for the tilt-a-whirl. Crosby waved for the first time to us while we were in line.

On the tilt-a-whirl, waiting for it to start. I thought Piper might be scared but she loved it.

Crosby on the carousel.

chocolate

Here are a few pictures from our five senses field trip to Chocolate World.

On the tour ride.

A bored baby. He found it all very fascinating and then just laid his head down and quit looking at anything and then a few minutes later sat back up and watched again.

Waiting for the cookie bag to be opened. (Don't worry - Adam is on Crosby's other side. Piper isn't actually keeping him on the bench.)

awesome snow

I went to the PA Christmas Craft Show on Thursday and found awesome snow. It comes as a powder in a tiny little bag and does this when you add water:

You can let it dry out to store and then use it again and again. It's actually for decorating Christmas villages and such, but I bought it for the kids to play in. They played with it for an hour and a half this morning.
