corn bread

This is how Crosby eats when he likes something.

He shoves in really large mouthfuls of food.

Then takes it all back out.

Then starts over.

more birthday again

Even more party pictures.

This slide is the reason the kids like to go to this park. It's actually a lot higher than it looks in the pictures.

Rory, Gage and Piper all all together in the front of this picture.

We've been to this park a bunch of times but never left the playground. It turns out there is a bunch of really nice paths and an arboretum and fitness trail and frisbee golf over the hill behind the playground. The rest of the pictures are all from over the hill.

A nice picture up Piper's nose.

more birthday

These are more pictures from Adam and Crosby's party. I ended up with a lot of them.

Piper loves to swing and would happily do it for hours.

Crosby wasn't too impressed.

Rory is very proud of herself for making it over this caterpillar. She is somewhat afraid of heights and was too scared to make it across last time we were at this park.

Crosby telling us he's 1. (Actually he's pointing at the camera but I'm going to pretend he's saying he's one.)

Rory is pushing in this one. Gage is at the back, riding.

one

We had a double birthday party for Adam and Crosby on Saturday at a park in Lancaster.

Rory, Gage and Piper made Crosby a cake on Saturday morning. We don't want to give him any sugar or sweeteners until after he actually starts eating (and very little after) so we made him this cake. He did get a tiny bit of sweetener on top. I made him some sucanat glaze for on his cake.

It ended up being too windy to light candles so we just put an unlighted one in the cake. Rory and Gage wanted to find a red leaf and hold it above the candle so we could pretend it was lit.

This is Crosby trying to get the cake out of his mouth. He hates food. There are a couple things that he will put in his mouth and suck on for a second or so, but he gags and chokes himself if they get near his throat. After they've been in there for a few seconds he takes every last crumb back out of his mouth and starts again with a new piece. Most things just lay on the table while he plays with his cup. And almost everything that goes into his mouth gets an awful face. He seems to think we're trying to poison him and not feed him.

Opening his present. We are getting a big gift for all the kids together at their birthday party this year so they are all just getting something small on their birthdays.

Crosby got his very own water bottle which he loves. He hates food but he thinks water is fantastic.

Adam's gifts. Rory, Gage and Piper all picked something for him from the thrift store.

rabbit children

Some pictures from Wildwood last Thursday.

Looking for animals under the boardwalk.

This is Rory and Gage being an L and Piper being a B (she may be slightly confused).

There is a room in the nature center with crafts and activities for kids to do. We made bunny hats.
