sick

We have four sick kids today. They all seem to have very different symptoms though. Rory had a fever and a stomach ache last night and just a fever this morning. She still seems to have a bit of a fever this evening but feel pretty good. Gage had a fever last night, and was very pale and sick and laid on the couch all day. He's had a fever all day, but I think it was pretty low. Piper and Crosby just seem to have colds. They are both just coughing and sound very congested and Crosby doesn't want to be put down at all.

This isn't actually a sick picture. It's from yesterday - he's just cute.

Tool box building.

Rory thinks that she needs to pose every time someone gets out a camera.

I'm fairly sure that this isn't proper golf form.

construction rodeo 2

Putting out a fire.

Digging for treasure. You have to find a wooden block with a number on it and you win the prize that matches your number.

Asleep.

The kids really enjoy these. This is the first year they had the one with two seats. Rory was so excited to take Piper for a ride, but half the track is on an uphill slope and she could barely move them. Her and Gage both got pushed a lot and ran into quite a few cones.

Bouncy slide. You have to go through a sort of maze to get to the slide and no one thought that Piper could make it through. It was only for kids and Adam and I were both over the weight limit so Rory took her through. I'm pretty sure she had to shove her through a tunnel she couldn't make it through and then push her up a ladder, but Piper made it out the other side and had fun.

Construction Crosby. (It was the best picture I could get in between the wind blowing his hat off.)

Adam, Rory and Gage up on a lifty thingy. Piper wanted nothing to do with it.

Last Sunday was Gage's favorite day of the year, the construction rodeo. It's only for 4 hours every year and him and Rory spend the rest of the year waiting for it to happen again. It is run by American Builders and Contractors and they use it as a fund raiser for Make-a-Wish. There are people in all kinds of competitions doing building and plumbing projects and using construction equipment. Apparently the winners all move on to national competitions. They also always have firemen and a fire truck and the Life Lion helicopter (Hershey hospitals's life flight) comes every year for an hour or so. There are tons of kids' activities to do.  Gage jumped out of the van when we got there and ran giggling through the field to see everything.

Watching the competitions.

Piper refusing to take her hat off even though it was way too windy.

Sitting in the helicopter.

The helicopter leaving.

Checking out the fire truck. (Piper was afraid to get in the helicopter and the fire truck.)

Rory the cat.

Gage completely unaware that someone is both painting him and talking to him.

playground

Adam took Rory, Gage and Piper to the playground last week while Crosby and I went to find me some winter clothes (all I had was one pair of sweat pants). Here are some of their pictures and videos.
