pretty pasta

These pictures have nothing to do with anything except that I got cool noodles.

I didn't have quite enough so I added some rotini. I had 12 ounces of the cool stuff and four of rotini and somehow it ended up looking like about half of each. (There are also brown mushrooms in there.)

standing

Crosby can hold himself up on the railing upstairs. The problem is that he finds it so exciting that he claps and dances and promptly falls over. (And yes, I'm aware that his pajamas are way too big.)

Digging! These are like the ones at playgrounds except they are electric.

These are foam cars that you can build in different ways. They have magnetic wheels, windshields, lights and steering wheels that you can change - even some crazy things like
 rockets and tracks.

This one is just a pretend car - nothing to build.

There are all different sizes of balls and different ways to blow them into the air. Some are just holes that blow air, one has a hose, there is one with three holes and one that you can change the shape of the hole.

Rory and Gage were both really good at this.

When you jump on these clouds they play music or make noises.

Launching rockets. You build your own foam rocket and then launch it across the room.

Piper didn't want hers launched. She just carried it around with her.

Spaceman Gage.

Rory on space TV.

Spacegirl Piper.

And Rory who no one could wake up when we got home.

storytime

Just a few more museum pictures. On the day we went, a ballerina from the Pennsylvania Ballet came to do a special story time. She came dressed as the Sugar Plum Fairy and read part of the Nutcracker and then taught the kids a little bit of ballet. Rory was thrilled. She even made sure to dress like a ballerina.

This one is the girls waiting for the Sugar Plum Fairy.

These are puppet show pictures. They have a show three times. The one we saw was There's Something Under My Bed. I think the same man does them all the time - we've seen him before. He does a really good job and the kids love it. He always involves all the kids in the audience.  Piper thought the whole show was absolutely hilarious. We even got front row seats right in the center.

Crosby liked it too. He was asleep in the wrap when it started and then woke up and kept trying to turn around to see what was going on.

Working in the ambulance. Piper is on the stretcher in the back and Rory is taking care of her.

There is a hospital set up with x-ray machines and an MRI and exam tables. They have lots of dolls and doctor tools to use.

Building blocks.

This room is really cool. It's a jungle with all kinds of different things to make music/noise with.

The end of this log spins and make noise.

Piper really liked these. The ropes are all connected to bells and rattles in the tree tops that shake when you pull them.

This is a spider web that you play like a harp. It lights up in different colors and plays music.

This is the baby that didn't sleep all day and then was so tired he didn't even notice he was in a room with twenty kids making a whole lot of noise.

Dress up.

Riding the bus.

Driving the purple trolley.

Construction site.

There are a few areas set up just for children 3 and under. This is one of them.

Gage driving with his eyes closed.
