picnicing

There is a park in Lancaster called Long's Park. About six weeks ago we saw a duck lay an egg there. Since then, the kids want to spent all our time there. We've had many picnics there this year. There are lots and lots of picnic tables, at least five or six playgrounds - one of them a big wooden one like the one in E-town, a petting zoo and a lake with a path around it. There are tons of ducks and geese and fish and lots of turtles (we saw six on this trip). Sometimes we take bread or crackers to throw  to the fish. They all jump out of the water over top of each other to get it and we all get splashed which Gage thinks is great. There are also some huge koi in the lake. I'm pretty sure they're as big as Crosby.

I realize this is a very blurry picture, but it is Piper's first time on a big kid swing. She was quite proud of herself. (Notice the upside down sunglasses on her head.)

Gage was very excited that he made it the whole way across here. Rory climbed on, said it was too movey and went to play with her new friend. She claims this girl's dad speaks another language which Rory thinks is great.

There was a street sweeper driving around while we had lunch. Gage is on the table waving to the driver in this picture. If you make the picture big, you can just see the driver waving back.

Three very cool kids on a picnic table.

Here are lots of baby pictures.

And look, he's even awake in the wrap. He was asleep within five minutes of taking these pictures, however.

Some pictures from the nice green lake.

There are two turtles on the right side of this log that Rory spotted.

A little girl who can never keep up.

Tree climbing.
