north museum

We visited the North Museum on Saturday. It's a small, not very exciting museum in Lancaster but it has a few cool things. There is a Discovery Room full of hands on stuff for kids (much like the Discovery Room at the Carnegie but not as big or as cool) and the basement houses the Cabinet Museum full of cases of birds and insects and all kinds neat things.

Piper and Crosby watching turtles.

Gage scaring a dinosaur.

Looking at birds in the Cabinet Museum.

This Lego table is also in the basement for some reason. It seems to be set up for bridge building but there isn't any information on it. (Gage really likes wearing mismatched shoes.)

These are all pictures from the Discovery Room.

This dinosaur is really cool. It makes noise and moves its head and tail and will pretend to eat if you put something in its mouth.

Watching bees.

Gage with a bobcat skull.

Giant caterpillar puzzle.

Fun with gears.
