christmas tree

We got our tree last Sunday (the 6th) from a farm in E-town. We had been trying to get it for a week, but whenever Adam was home to go it was raining and sleeting. The kids really like it because we can cut our own tree and roast hot dogs and marshmallows and drink hot chocolate there.

Reindeer.

Hunting for a tree. I put Crosby down and told him to go find a tree and he ran to the first one he saw and said"Mommy, a tree, a tree!" He was very proud of himself.

This is the tree Piper picked.

Our tree still living in the field.

Waiting for it to be cut down.

Timber!

Dragging it out of the field.

Waiting for me to get marshmallows.

Eating hot dogs and marshmallows.

Taking the tree home.

For some reason Crosby, who never puts anything in his mouth felt the need to taste every Christmas ornament. He kept trying to take bites of beeswax ones and sticking all kinds of other ones in his mouth - even when they were glass. When I finally convinced him to stop putting them in his mouth he just started licking them all.  Don't worry, this one is plastic.

The finished tree. Crosby calls it a flower.
